Millwall boss Colin Lee says he will be speaking with midfielder Adrian Serioux.Millwall boss Colin Lee has revealed he will be speaking with midfielder Adrian Serioux regarding his family situation.
The 26-year-old asked not to be considered for selection in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with London rivals Queens Park Rangers after being left unsettled by his mother's health problems.
The situation prompted reports that the Canadian international had quit The Lions to return back to Canada and attend to his ill mother, though the Championship club have since denied those claims.
With Serioux seemingly in an uncertain situation, Lee stated that he will discuss matters with the former Toronto Lynx player.
"Adrian came to see me the other night before the game and told me that he was in no fit state to be included in the squad for the QPR game because his mother had suffered a setback and that he wanted to return to Canada," Lee told the club's official website.
"Initially, he was talking about going back for good and forgetting football whilst he concentrates on looking after his mother.
"He didn't seem quite so sure that he wanted to do that the following day, but clearly we will do whatever we can to support him in this situation, and the two-week break we've got coming up may enable him to sort out what he wants to do."
Meanwhile, Millwall lost fellow midfielder Jody Morris for Friday's clash at Hull City.
The FA slapped the former Chelsea and Leeds United man with an additional one-match ban for using foul and abusive towards referee Andy D'Urso following his sending off last Saturday against Cardiff City.
He missed the midweek match against QPR but will now be absent for the club's trip to Humberside.
