Millwall midfielder Jody Morris has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
Millwall midfielder Jody Morris has signed a new one-year contract with the League One club.
The former Chelsea and Leeds United player's new deal has an option for a further year with the South East London club.
Lions boss Nigel Spackman was delighted to secure the 27-year-old's services for next season.
"I'm pleased that we have got this sorted out," Spackman told the club's official website.
"It was a difficult situation for everyone with Jody being out of contract, coupled with the terrible injury he had towards the end of the season.
"He suffered a broken cheekbone and then the cruciate (knee ligament) injury, but once he is back he will be a major influence for us, especially in this division."
The news comes as Spackman appointed former Scotland international Willie Donachie as his assistant this week.
The 54-year-old has become one of the top coaches in the country and Spackman is pleased to have Donachie on board.
"Willie is a fantastic coach, very organised and enthusiastic and the players will enjoy working with him," Spackman said.
"I trust Will completely, and his experience will be invaluable for us.
"He has worked in The Premiership, coached Manchester City and Oldham Athletic to promotion, his track record speaks for itself."
