Millwall striker Chris Zebroski has joined Oxford on a loan deal for at least one month.
Millwall striker Chris Zebroski has joined Oxford on a one-month loan deal, with an option to extend his stay until the end of the season.
Oxford boss Jim Smith has been forced to bring in cover after striker Steve Basham was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and has turned to former Plymouth youngster Zebroski, who has scored three goals for The Lions this season in League One.
However, Millwall manager Willie Donachie is keen to stress that the loan deal has not been agreed with a view to a permanent deal.
"Chris is a good lad and a good pro, but he's only young and needs games rather than just training," he said.
"We thought Chris would benefit from the move, but we're certainly not pushing him out because I see a great future for him in the game."
