Palace reportedly tried to sign striker

Skysports.com understands MK Dons rejected a deadline day offer from a Championship club for Jermaine Easter. The Wales international joined MK Dons from Plymouth last year and scored 20 goals during his debut season at the club. He scored twice in last week's impressive Carling Cup success over Premier League new boys Blackpool, but is in the final year of his contract. As the summer transfer window drew to a close, a club in the Championship, reportedly Crystal Palace, tried to snap up the striker. However, MK Dons snubbed the approach and the 28-year-old remains an integral part of manager Karl Robinson's plans at the League One club.
