Champions Brighton and Southampton make up eight of the side on the PFA League One Team of the Year.
Brighton, who secured promotion to the Championship this week, have three players in the League One team in Inigo Calderon, Gordon Greer and Elliott Bennett.
Promotion hopefuls Southampton, however, are the most represented with five players in Kelvin Davis, Dan Harding, Jose Fonte, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith has been included in the side in attack alongside former Plymouth forward Bradley Wright-Phillips, who is now at Charlton following his move in the January transfer window.
Injured Huddersfield star Anthony Pilkington has been rewarded for his fine season with a place in midfield.

Kelvin Davis
With 17 League One clean sheets to his name this season, a tally second only to promoted Brighton, Southampton shot-stopper Davis has played a key role for the Saints. A string of outstanding performances have seen the 34-year-old club captain keep a tight grip on his spot as No.1 for the St Mary's club, as well as helping his side into the promotion places.
Inigo Calderon
Spanish right-back Calderon has been crucial in keeping things tight at the back for Brighton throughout their storming campaign. As well as his prowess in defence, the 29-year-old has also displayed his competence going forward, knocking in six league goals to help the Seagulls on their way to securing Championship football for next season.
Gordon Greer
Influential centre-half Greer has undeniably made an impact at Brighton since arriving last summer from Swindon Town. The Scotsman, formerly of Blackburn and Doncaster, has settled neatly into the heart of the Seagulls' defence, featuring in all but four of the games in which the seaside club have kept clean sheets this season.
Jose Fonte
Portuguese stopper Fonte is another defender who has proven himself as a threat at both ends of the pitch this season. The 27-year-old has not only played a crucial role in Southampton's impressive defensive record, but has also hit home six league goals for the Saints, showing a particular flair for finding the back of the net from set-pieces.
Daniel Harding
Another Southampton player steps in at left-back, with Harding a consistent performer for the Saints this term. The 27-year-old has notched up 33 League One appearances for his side, establishing himself as a key component in Nigel Adkins' squad.
Anthony Pilkington
Huddersfield winger Pilkington may only be 22, but it has not stopped him playing an influential part in the Terriers' promotion bid this term. With 10 league goals to his name, even an injury setback late into the campaign could not take the shine off the key forward's outstanding season.
Elliot Bennett
Young Brighton wide-man Bennett has helped shape the Seagulls' formidable attack this season. The 22-year-old has knocked in five league goals for Gus Poyet's side, as well as proving himself invaluable in setting up chances, currently sitting third in the assists table. Creative and dangerous up front, manager Poyet has hailed the youngster as the 'best striker of the ball at the club'.
Adam Lallana
Another up-and-coming performer, Southampton man Adam Lallana has proved a constant threat for the Saints this term. Also just 22 years old, the versatile attacking midfielder has shown his creative flair in abundance, as well as demonstrating an eye for a goal, finding the back of the net seven times in the league for his side.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Widely thought of as one of the brightest prospects in League One, Oxlade-Chamberlain's star has risen astronomically this term. At just 17, the highly-rated winger has earned a call-up to the England Under-21s side this year, as well as attracting interest from the Premier League in the January transfer window. The teenager has proven there is substance behind the hype, playing a key role in the Saints' attacking force.
Craig Mackail-Smith
One of the most potent attackers in the league, Mackail-Smith has been a revelation for Peterborough this season. Currently top scorer in the division with 24 goals, as well as eight assists to his name, the 27-year-old's devastating performances this term have earned him his first taste of international football, with the hitman making his Scotland debut earlier this year.
Bradley Wright Philips
A prolific scorer and deadly finisher, Manchester City youth product Wright-Phillips has proved himself a star performer for two clubs this season. The striker knocked in 12 goals for Plymouth Argyle in the first half of the season before his antics caught the attention of Charlton Athletic, prompting a January move. The 26-year-old has been no less effective for the Addicks, announcing his arrival with a crucial goal on his debut against Colchester.
