Holloway's first match in charge of the struggling Lions ended in a last-gasp 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield on Saturday.
The 50-year-old now has a week to weigh up his options ahead of his first home game against Ipswich, and is also keen to add to his backroom team.
"I need some help, that's the first thing," he said.
"I can't go out and sign players until there is a structure in place. That's key. With a good structure you can begin to build things.
"From Monday I'll begin to put in place my training methods. I want more intensity, and I want my enthusiasm to rub off on the players.
"I'm full of pride and passion and I've got a big job on my hands. But I can't wait to do it, it's as simple as that.
"We've got a free week now until Ipswich and I'm so excited about that first home game."
