Millwall midfielder Nicky Bailey faces another spell on the sidelines and is set to miss the next month's action.

Bailey made his first appearance of the season as a substitute at Fulham on Saturday but aggravated a calf injury and has been ruled out of action until mid-September.

Lions physio Bobby Bacic told the club's official website: "Nicky suffered a reaction in his calf after the Fulham match and will now undergo a course of injections which means he will be ruled out until after the international break.

"Nicky can and is willing to play with the calf as it is, only giving him minor discomfort.

"However, our worry is that if we keep pushing Nicky through, it will gradually get worse and we may not have the luxury of an international break to give us the extra time for the injections to be successful."
