Moses continues on comeback trail

Crewe Alexandra defender Adie Moses is closing in on a first team comeback after coming through a reserves run out.

Moses has been sidelined since the end of August when he suffered a torn hamstring in the 1-0 defeat at Burnley.

The 28-year-old returned to full training last week and stepped up his rehabilitation with an outing against Oldham's reserves on Wednesday.

The experienced stopper played the full 90 minutes of the behind-closed-doors friendly to put himself in line for a first team return.

He will be anxious to make up for lost time when he is eventually given the nod to come back by Dario Gradi but whether it will be for this weekend's visit of Sunderland remains to be seen.

Moses only joined The Railwaymen in the summer on a free transfer from Huddersfield and he will be keen to make an impact when he is back to peak fitness.
