Kidderminster Harriers have secured the loan capture of Crewe defender Paul Bignot.
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates has secured the loan capture of Crewe Alexandra defender Paul Bignot.The 20-year-old moves to Aggborough for an initial one-month spell, and is the first of at least two loan captures that the Harriers boss promised following Tuesday night's 2-0 league defeat at Halifax Town.
Bignot has made six appearances for Alexandra, though Railwaymen boss Dario Gradi (pictured) is a known admirer of giving his fringe players opportunities to go out on loan in order to gain regular first-team experience.
Bignot is the younger brother of former Harrier Marcus, and his new boss says he is pleased to have recruited the youngster.
"Paul is a good defender and very good at defending in one-on-one situations," Yates told the club's official website.
"He'll give us that bit of solidity, he can play naturally at right-back or centre-back which is good for us with Jeff Kenna still out for a couple of weeks more.
"I'm grateful to Dario Gradi and Crewe for letting us bring him in for a month."
Meanwhile Yates has threatened to ring the changes following a second successive defeat for his side.
Harriers slumped to a 2-0 defeat to fellow Conference strugglers Halifax on Tuesday, leaving the former Aggborough player to ponder the club's next move.
"We're not keeping enough clean sheets and are conceding too many goals," Yates lamented.
"Confidence is a big part of football and a couple of lads are perhaps just lacking in that at the moment.
"They kept at it and had a go but we're lacking belief in that final third, and we're getting punished for slight mistakes.
"I feel we need that to spruce things up a little bit."
