Gillingham have extended Dominic Samuel's loan deal from Reading until January 28.
The 21-year-old forward, who initially joined the Sky Bet League 1 club in mid-November, has scored four goals in nine appearances.
Samuel's initial deal expired following Saturday's 3-0 win over Bradford but, with Gillingham in the automatic promotion places, he will now stay at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium for a further three weeks.
"We are delighted to have extended his services, Dom is playing very well here and scored some important goals," manager Justin Edinburgh told the club's official website.
"We give Reading feedback on how he is doing, they can see he's improving but they are also mindful of the fact he needs to play."
