Gillingham have snapped up Steve Claridge, and completed the signing of Brent Sancho.Gillingham have snapped up Steve Claridge, and have completed the signing of Brent Sancho.
Claridge has joined The Gills on a non-contract basis after failing to earn a deal at Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week.
The 39-year-old has been looking for a new club since being sacked as Millwall manager earlier in the summer after barely a month at the helm.
The vastly experienced striker will play for The Gills on a match-by-match basis and could figure in Saturday's game against Bournemouth.
The League One side have also tied up the capture of Trinidad & Tobago defender Sancho, who left Dundee at the end of last season.
Sancho impressed Gills boss Neale Cooper during a trial in pre-season and was offered a two-year contract at The Priestfield Stadium.
He had been waiting for a work permit to be granted and, with the necessary paperwork completed, has now finalised his move to Gillingham.
