Ben Chorley has hit out at MK Dons boss Martin Allen for putting him on the transfer list.
Defender Ben Chorley has hit out at MK Dons manager Martin Allen for putting him on the transfer list.
The former Dons captain joined League One side Gillingham on loan last week and is available on a free transfer after an alleged row with Allen.
The 24-year-old admitted he was shocked when he found out he was one of eight players available for transfer.
"I didn't think I deserved to be put on the list after I'd played nearly every game. I always thought that when I was available I would play - I felt I was quite an important member of the team," Chorley told the Milton Keynes Citizen.
"I played 140 odd games for the club and I feel I did well while I was there - I always gave 100 percent for the club. I was surprised but obviously things change and I wasn't going to play. It all happened quite quickly and I was on my way.
"The fans were good to me while I was there. It's probably difficult for them to think what's going on. But I'm still under contract to The Dons and my loan at Gillingham expires on January 6 so I'll probably have to go back there for a short while. I don't know if I could go back - you'd better ask the manager."
