Jordan Robertson scored late on to secure Northampton a 1-1 draw with Gillingham.
Substitute Jordan Robertson grabbed a late equaliser to secure Northampton Town a 1-1 draw at home to Gillingham.
Robertson, on loan from Sheffield United, scored four minutes from time after Dean McDonald had earlier put The Gills ahead.
In a match which Northampton dominated for large spells, the hosts will wonder how they failed to convert numerous chances.
The closest they came in the first half was when Alex Pearce headed against the post from a corner, after Romain Larrieu had saved Andy Kirk's shot.
After weathering the first half storm, Gillingham took the lead on 61 minutes when McDonald headed home his fourth goal of the season.
But The Cobblers were not to be denied as Robertson - a 75th minute replacement for Kirk - steered home Sam Aiston's pass on 86 minutes.
Prior to the equaliser, Aiston struck the crossbar while Robertson later came close to a winner as his shot deflected wide of the target.
