Colchester and Brighton are believed to be among a number of clubs keeping tabs on the progress of Barnet striker Adam Birchall.
Birchall, 23, leads the club's goalscoring charts with 15 goals this season, and helped play a hand in their FA Cup run with a memorable strike against Swindon Town.
The former Wales Under-21 and Arsenal youth player also netted at Norwich City in the Carling Cup.
Birchall's current contract expires at the end of this season.
