Kuffour keen to kick on for Gills

On-loan Gillingham striker Jo Kuffour admits he is not at full fitness yet but is delighted to be back playing football.

Kuffour fell out with Bristol Rovers manager Paul Buckle earlier in the season, leading to his exile from first-team training and subsequent move to Kent. But the former Arsenal trainee is enjoying the opportunity to start again at the Gills and, after grabbing his first goals for his new club in the 5-2 win at Torquay on Saturday, Kuffour said he is quickly getting back to his best. "I feel like I am getting fitter and stronger in every game," he told Kent Online. "I lasted 80 minutes on Saturday but there are good signs for me and I can keep progressing and pushing on. "I am still not 100%. I missed a lot of the season - five weekends - and was training with the kids which doesn't help. I now feel like I am getting back into it."
