Port Vale winger Chris Birchall is confident Trinidad & Tobago will seal their place at Germany 2006.
The Socawarriors are just two games away from their first ever World Cup finals after they secured fourth place in the Concacaf qualifying section after coming from behind to beat Mexico on Wednesday.
They will now play-off against Bahrain, who beat Uzbekistan over two-legs.
Birchall, who made his debut earlier this year, is looking ahead to the play-off in upbeat mood.
"I don't know too much about Bahrain, but we are just looking forward to it and we're confident we can get to Germany," he told Sky Sports News.
"The fan base in Trinidad is unbelievable and everyone cannot wait for the play-off.
"The country is in meltdown and everyone is buzzing because of the chance of getting to Germany."
Birchall, who qualified for T & T through his mother, had never set foot in the country until he joined up with the squad last season.
"I was the first white player for 60 years and it was a bit of a novelty, but I have played 13 games now," he continued.
"I don't really take any notice of a few people mentioning that I am white, once I am in the team I just play as if I am back at Port Vale."
