Port Vale striker Tom Pope has challenged his team-mates to go on a winning run to ensure the side gain promotion to League One.
The Valiants dropped out of the League Two play-off places following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to table-topping Chesterfield.
With just six League Two fixtures remaining, Vale face tough away trips, which include play-off chasing Torquay United and Stevenage, but Pope insists the team have the required credentials to get promoted this season.
He told the club's official website: "The lads all know how good they can be, and what it is like to be top of the league.
"We have just got to go out with the mentality that, if we win our last six games then we will be promoted, it is as simple as that.
"Stevenage and Torquay will be difficult places to go and Barnet will be fighting for their lives - the last game of the season could come down to them being relegated and us being promoted.
"The squad is good enough, as we proved against Bury we were by far the better side. Against the likes of Wycombe Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town, we demonstrated that we are more than good enough.
"We have got six games now and whoever we are playing, if those 18 players on a match-day put in a shift, then there is no reason why we can't be in those top three positions come the end of the season."
