Skysports.com understands Hull City and Middlesbrough are lining up moves for Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown.
Brown is set to leave Fratton Park at the end of the season when his current contract expires.
The former Tottenham and Manchester City man has not featured for Pompey since Boxing Day as one more appearance would trigger a new contract on wages that the club cannot afford.
Brown attracted the interest of a number of clubs during the January transfer window and there is sure to be no shortage of suitors this summer with the midfielder becomes available on a free transfer.
The Tigers and Boro are keen on signing the 34-year-old as they see his experience as a key addition to their squads next season as they look to push for promotion.
