Northampton have signed former Bournemouth and Bury goalkeeper Shwan Jalal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old Iraq-born keeper joins after Dean Snedker was released by the Cobblers. Jalal made his Football League debut for Peterborough and also spent six years with Bournemouth, making 171 appearances between 2008 and 2014. He spent the first half of this season with Bury, making eight appearances, the last coming against York in December. Jalal is expected to be available for Saturday's League Two trip to Shrewsbury.
