Huddersfield have recalled forward Jordy Hiwula from his loan spell at Sky Bet League 1 side Wigan.

Hiwula, 21, spent the first half of the season on loan at the DW Stadium and scored six goals in 17 appearances.

"I would like to thank Wigan Athletic for working with Jordy, it has been good for him to get more experience of football," Huddersfield head coach David Wagner told the club's official website.

"However, I think now is the right time for him to come back to us.

"I have watched him play for Wigan and he has interesting qualities.

"I prefer to work with players owned by our club so they can learn our ideas and this is a good first opportunity for me to get a good picture of how able Jordy is to apply our game on the pitch."
