Martin's Starting Stats

I was at the Emirates on Saturday to witness Arsenal's first win in seven north London derbies and Mauricio Pochettino's first defeat to Arsenal with Tottenham in the league. He remains on 99 wins as Spurs manager - and none of the 15 managers since Keith Burkinshaw (1976-84) have won 100.

It was only the second time in the last eight north London derbies at the Emirates that the side who scored first has gone on to win, while Arsenal's second goal took them to 250 league goals against Spurs.

Petr Cech is unbeaten in all 14 home fixtures he has played against Tottenham with Chelsea and Arsenal. Spurs have just one win in their last 25 away league games at Arsenal, which happened seven years ago when they were 2-0 down at half-time and came back to win 3-2.

Harry Kane failed to score in a league north London derby for the first time after scoring six in the previous five - but to be fair to him, he didn't look 100 per cent fit.

Highlights: Arsenal 2-0 Tottenham

MARTIN SAYS: Victory over Tottenham on Saturday has seen the Gunners close on their best-ever winning run at home, which currently stands at 15 matches.

That record was set in 1904 when Arsenal - then known as Woolwich Arsenal - were promoted into the top flight.

That was followed by a 14-match winning run in 1934 and then more recent runs of 13 games in 2005 and 12 games in 2002.

The 13-match winning run in 2005 was ended by a 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea on December 18 while the run in 2002 was halted by a 2-1 loss to Blackburn on October 26.

Arsenal have matched their current 11-game home winning streak on two occasions - in 1998 and 1906.

The Gunners' next five home matches are against Huddersfield, Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea. We are really looking forward to showing you the big games against Liverpool and Chelsea live on Sky Sports.

The longest-ever winning home run in the Premier League was set by Manchester City, who won 20 games on the spin before a 3-3 draw with Sunderland in March 2012.

Manchester United won 19 in a row before they were thrashed 6-1 by Man City in October 2011.

Ince's scoring struggles

I saw a stat that Tom Ince has had 30 shots this season without scoring. Is this the most in the Premier League? How does it compare to last season? Martin H

MARTIN SAYS: Ince is indeed top of the pile when it comes to shots without scoring a Premier League goal this season.

He leads the way from Southampton's Nathan Redmond (27), Arsenal's Granit Xhaka (24), Newcastle's Matt Ritchie (23) and Crystal Palace's Andros Townsend (22).

One of the more surprising names in the top 10 is Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was a regular scorer with Swansea but hasn't found the net in the Premier League with Everton so far from 16 shots.

Last season it was Jason Puncheon who finished with the worst record as he had 45 shots without scoring.

He was followed by Steven Davis (31 shots), Kamil Grosicki and Nordin Amrabat (both 29), and Adam Forshaw and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (both 28).

Most shots without scoring in the PL this season

Player Shots without scoring
Tom Ince 30
Nathan Redmond 27
Granit Xhaka 24
Matt Ritchie 23
Andros Townsend 22
Andy Carroll 19
Yohan Cabaye 17
Jonjo Shelvey 17
Robbie Brady 16
Gylfi Sigurdsson 16

De Bruyne's influence

Kevin De Bruyne has now had a hand in 50 Premier League goals. How many appearances has he done this in and is it a record? Marcus

Highlights: Leicester 0-2 Man City

MARTIN SAYS: When it comes to midfielders, De Bruyne leads the way.

The Belgium international has been directly involved in 50 goals (16 goals, 34 assists) in 76 Premier League appearances, which is more than any other midfielder in the competition's history.

Former Newcastle and Manchester United striker Andrew Cole holds the record, as he was involved in 50 goals in his first 43 appearances. He got 38 goals and 14 assists in those first 43 games - so actually was above 50!

Then come Alan Shearer and Eric Cantona (both 54 appearances), followed by Teddy Sheringham (61), Diego Costa (62) and Michael Owen, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Fernando Torres (all 63).

Assist king

David Silva provided his 72nd assist in the Premier League at the weekend. Is that more than any other player since his debut? Matt Bradley

David Silva

MARTIN SAYS: Silva tops the list by some distance since making his debut in August 2010.

The Manchester City player has 72 assists to his name in that time, putting him well clear of Wayne Rooney and Cesc Fabregas (both 51). However, it is worth noting that, since his debut, Silva has played more games (232) than either Rooney (215) or Fabregas (136).

Mesut Ozil has 45 assists in 126 games - with one added at the weekend in Arsenal's win over Tottenham - while Manchester United's Juan Mata (44 in 202 games) and West Brom's Chris Brunt (42 in 214 games) are just behind.

James Milner and Christian Eriksen (both 40), and Leighton Baines and Eden Hazard (both 36) round out the top 10.

Eriksen's 40 assists have come in 146 games while Hazard's 36 have been in 183.

Assists since David Silva's debut

Player Assists Games played
David Silva 72 232
Wayne Rooney 51 215
Cesc Fabregas 51 136
Mesut Ozil 45 126
Juan Mata 44 202
Chris Brunt 42 214
James Milner 40 222
Christian Eriksen 40 146
Leighton Baines 36 234
Eden Hazard 36 183

Silva's 72 assists put him 12th on the all-time Premier League list - which is led by Ryan Giggs (162), followed by Fabregas (110). Frank Lampard (102) and Rooney (101) are the only players with more than 100 assists and Silva needs just two more to climb into the top 10.
