Huddersfield Town have opened new contract talks with defender Nathan Clarke.Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson has revealed that new contract talks have started with centre back Nathan Clarke.
The 21-year-old's current deal with The Terriers expires at the end of the campaign, but Jackson is keen to extend the young defender's stay with the Galpharm Stadium outfit.
Talks with Clarke's representatives look set to begin this week and Jackson believes the stopper will ink a new contract with the League One club in the near future.
"Obviously, I can't see a problem and I'm waiting for his representatives to come back to me," Jackson told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ian Gray has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a groin injury.
