Huddersfield Town have extended Akpo Sodje's contract until the season's end.Huddersfield Town have extended striker Akpo Sodje's contract until the end of the season with the League One club.
The 22-year-old, who is the brother of Terriers defender Efe Sodje, initially signed a three-month deal after impressing on trial with the West Yorkshire outfit.
Despite being sidelined with a torn thigh muscle, his displays have impressed manager Peter Jackson enough to earn him a new deal until the season's end with the club.
The Huddersfield boss (pictured) hopes the young hit-man can further impress for the rest of the campaign.
"It has been a big step up for Akpo to come from non-league and into our squad, but I like what I've seen so far and now he's got another six months to try and impress further," Jackson told the club's official website.
"He is still learning the game, but he's very determined to make a career after being released by QPR and he has many of the right attributes.
"He's big and strong, quick and he scores goals with a tremendous shot in either foot, so I think he's worth looking at to the end of the season."
