Terriers trio earn deals

Huddersfield Town have signed three of their youngsters to new one-year deals.

Huddersfield Town have signed three of their youngsters to new one-year deals at The Galpharm Stadium.

Aaron Hardy, John McCombe and Matthew Young have all committed themselves to 12-months deals with The Terriers, with McCombe having made a handful of appearances for the League One club.

Hardy and Young have also been involved in Peter Jackson's first team this past season and the Huddersfield manager is looking for the trio to build on their development out of the club's academy.

"I'm delighted the three lads have agreed to sign up," Jackson told the club's official website.

"This is an opportunity for them to improve and do well and, while they are only 12-month deals, hopefully we'll be sitting down around Christmas to extend them.

"I've told all three that if a first-team chance doesn't present itself, then we'll consider sending them out on loan for experience and they are all looking forward to the season.

"They have to listen, learn and work hard and, if they do that, then they'll have every chance of pushing for the team."
