Hudson, who joined The Terriers from Chesterfield 18 months ago, has had his name circulated to other clubs.
Though he has started 23 games in League One this season, he has not featured since early January against Yeovil Town.
He will now hope to secure a move away from the Galpharm Stadium before the close of the transfer window next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson is trying to bring a Premiership defender to the club on loan.
Jackson said: "It's proving difficult, but we've still got time left."
