Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Joe Murphy insists he has not handed in a transfer request, but concedes he may have to review his future at Glanford Park.
Murphy was left out of last week's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City after returning to fitness following a shoulder injury and it prompted rumours he had asked to leave the Championship club.
Iron boss Nigel Adkins played down reports of a rift with the keeper and stated he was not looking to move Murphy on.
The Republic of Ireland shot-stopper was disappointed to be overlooked against Cardiff and acknowledged he will have to assess his situation if he fails to reclaim his place from Josh Lillis.

"If something needs to be done I'll have to do it because I need to be playing football," Murphy told the
Scunthorpe Telegraph.
"At this moment in time I haven't put a transfer request in.
"The gaffer and myself sat down on Friday morning and he explained that I wasn't going to be in the team and that he was going to keep Josh in.
"I was obviously upset, as anyone would be, and I think I had a right to be. I felt that my form was good enough to bring me back into the team.
"The way it has been put in the paper (national media), I had thrown a tantrum and said I didn't want to go on the bench, that is not the case.
"The gaffer probably didn't think I would be in the best frame of mind to sit on the bench. I am still disappointed. The gaffer said I'm No.1, but I didn't play."
