McIlroy pleased to hang on to youngster
Morecambe have extended the loan deal of Huddersfield Town teenager James Spencer until the end of the season.
Spencer has spent the first half of the campaign with the Shrimps and the striker has scored once in 12 appearances.
He will now finish the season with the League Two club and Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is happy to have agreed an extension.
"Jimmy is still only young and he is learning all the time," McIlroy told the club's official website.
"He has done well since joining us and will benefit from his spell here.''
