With both men's contracts expiring, Seagulls boss Steve Coppell has offered them a further year at The Withdean Stadium.
Coppell believes that both men, along with veteran keeper Dave Beasant who is also considering his future, will all take their time on deciding whether to accept the offers.
"I think whatever happens, they'll just sit on the offers for a few weeks, even a month, to see what else there is around," Coppell told the club's website.
"As professionals, they have to go with what is the best for them. I think all three of them had terrific years for me in the First Division.
"They will just play it by ear, see if other clubs come in, see what other offers are available and then they'll sit down and make up their mind."
As Coppell prepares for the new season, he is hoping to have goalkeeper Michel Kuipers fit and ready for action.
The Dutch shot-stopper is recovering from a thigh injury and hopes to be back in action to help the club bounce straight back into Division One next term.
"I'm working hard now during the summer break, I've been coming in every day and working on my fitness, my stretching is going well and I should be ready for the start of the season," said Kuipers.
