Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Sebastien Carole and Florent Chaigneau.Brighton & Hove Albion have signed the French pair of winger Sebastien Carole and goalkeeper Florent Chaigneau.
Carole joins the Championship club for an undisclosed fee from French Ligue 1 giants Monaco, while Chaigneau comes to The Seagulls on a one-year loan deal from Rennes - with an option to buy at the season's end.
Both players impressed manager Mark McGhee during trials with the club and are sure to boost The Seagulls for the new season.
Carole (pictured) has signed a two-year deal with the South Coast outfit, as the midfielder embarks on a second spell in the English game.
The 22-year-old played on loan at West Ham United two seasons ago before having trials with Watford last season and Southampton this summer.
Fellow Frenchman Chaigneau comes to Brighton with experience at youth international level, having won the 2001 Under-17 World Championship for his country.
He has been an understudy to former Rennes and current Chelsea keeper Petr Cech and current Rennes custodian in Sweden number one Andres Isaksson.
One player that has left Brighton is striker Chris McPhee, who has joined Conference club Aldershot Town on a month's loan.
