New Peterborough United boss Mark Wright has signed goalkeeper Lee Harrison.New Peterborough United boss Mark Wright has made his first signing in the form of goalkeeper Lee Harrison.
The 33-year-old returns to London Road following his release from fellow League Two side Leyton Orient.
The former Fulham and Barnet custodian, who spent time on loan with The Posh back in December 2002, has penned a one-year contract with the club.
Wright was keen to have some competition for number one Mark Tyler and Harrison pointed to the influence of the former Chester City manager in his decision to join Peterborough.
"Mark Wright was one of the main reasons why I signed for Posh," Harrison told the club's official website.
"I have seen what his sides can do over the past few seasons and I think we could be in for a good season."
Meanwhile, Peterborough have released centre back Craig Ireland by mutual consent.
The former Barnsley defender spent time on loan at Bristol City last season, but his move failed to materialise into a permanent arrangement.
Darlington have also been linked with the defender, who is known to have admirers in both Leagues One and Two.
