O's lose Morris

Leyton Orient goalkeeper Glenn Morris is out for two months with a broken thumb.

Leyton Orient goalkeeper Glenn Morris is out for the next two months with a broken thumb.

Morris fractured his right thumb in Wednesday's LDV Vans Trophy defeat to Oxford United, as he tried to punch the ball out of his box in the first half.

The absence of Morris prompted O's boss Martin Ling to sign Boston United custodian Nathan Abbey on a month's loan.

"It's bad news for Glenn, and a shame for him," Ling told the club's official website.

"He's not played much this season and it was a rare start, so for it to end like this is disappointing for both him and the club."
