Sawyer backs O's for play-offs

Leyton Orient defender Gary Sawyer insists Russell Slade's men have not given up on snatching a League One play-off place.

The O's head into the first of their final two fixtures at Coventry this weekend four points behind sixth-placed Swindon but with spirits high following a 2-0 weekend win over MK Dons. The former Bristol Rovers defender told the Epping Forest Guardian: "I think we have to target the play-offs. That's what everyone has to look for and what we all want to do. If we can nick it then that would be fantastic. "I think we've got some very good players at this club and it just shows we can beat anyone on our day. At the minute, Swindon have the advantage and the ball's in their court so we can only do what we can do but hopefully we can do enough. "It's set us up well for next year but fingers crossed we can nick in, although it's a tough ask. "I think the boys are more than capable of doing it. We've worked really hard together and on the training ground and it shows. We've done very well this year and hopefully we can cap it off."
