Odubajo grateful for Slade faith

Leyton Orient winger Moses Odubajo wants to repay the faith shown in him by manager Russell Slade this season.

The 20-year-old was a target for a host of clubs last term after bursting into the O's first team, but following talks with Slade he instead penned a new contract in February keeping him at Brisbane Road until 2015. "The manager said I needed to be playing first-team football at my age and that he didn't think I'd get that elsewhere and that I wouldn't want to be playing in the reserves because I'm better than that," said Odubajo. "It was a great feeling knowing that he trusted me that much in my first season in League One, so I owe it to him." Odubajo opened his goalscoring account this term in the 3-0 win over Shrewsbury on Saturday which kept Orient at the top of the early-season table. He added: "I feel like I've started to improve my end product which wasn't the best at times last season, and I want to score more goals too."
