The duo agreed to the extensions last month but finally ended speculation surrounding their futures by signing on the dotted line.
Both contracts are appearance-related, with Young looking to prove his well-being to the club after overcoming a serious knee injury.
"I'm fitter now than I was when I came back from the injury last year," Young told the club`s website. "It was 17 months of hell, but it's all in the past now and I'm only looking forward.
"Everything has been fine with my knee ever since I came back 16 months ago.
"I understand the situation with the contract being linked to how many appearances I will make, but I don't anticipate any problems and am really looking forward to next season."
Young is happy with the deal he has signed, despite initially looking for a longer contract.
He added: "When I first started talking to the club about a new deal, we discussed a two-year contract but it then changed to one-year, with the second year based on appearances.
"The delay was nothing to do with money, it was just about the length of the contract. I realise the club is looking to safeguard its interests and I am looking for a bit of security.
"This is a compromise and I don't see a problem with me playing 20 games, providing I'm selected. I am looking forward to the season starting and happy everything has been sorted out now."
