Striker Alan Connell is still musing over his Bournemouth future.Alan Connell is still musing over his Bournemouth future, as Dani Rodrigues' extension is plunged into doubt.
The Cherries have offered Connell a 12-month contract to stay at Dean Court but he has yet to pledge his future to the League One side.
He has been in contact with other clubs, with Southend United, Torquay United, Barnet and Leyton Orient mooted as suitors, and the striker concedes he is facing a tough decision over where to play next season.
"I've been offered a contract by Bournemouth and I'm thinking it over," Connell told the Daily Echo.
"Other clubs have shown an interest and I've got to think long and hard about what I want to do because this is such an important stage of my career."
Meanwhile, Connell's Cherries team-mate Rodrigues could now leave the South Coast side due to a dispute regarding a fee for his agent.
Rodrigues had agreed a 12-month deal to stay with Bournemouth, rather than accept a return to his native Portugal with Vitoria Guimaraes.
But Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll has revealed that the money being demanded by Rodrigues' representative means the deal could now collapse.
O'Driscoll commented: "Dani's representatives are looking for recompense for the re-engagement of Dani's contract.
"Dani has indicated he would re-sign but his agent's fees are beyond the scope of this club or the player himself.
"Obviously that means there is a hitch while we work out what happens next. It puts Dani in a really difficult position.
"He could be left with no club so it is a strange one."
