Josh Gowling has signed a new contract at Bournemouth.
League One outfit Bournemouth have been handed a boost following Josh Gowling's decision to sign a new contract.
The talented young defender started the season in Bournemouth's first team, making 13 appearances, before seeing his campaign curtailed in October by a rupture to his anterior cruciate ligament.
Despite the seriousness of the injury, Bournemouth have decided Gowling has shown sufficient promise to be offered a further two-year stay - in a decision that has clearly delighted the player.
''I'm delighted to sign,'' he told the club's website.
''I would like to thank the club for standing by me after such a bad injury and I am really pleased to be staying.
''Playing here is the happiest that I have been in football and I love this club.''
