Bournemouth's longest-serving player Neil Young has signed a new one-year deal.Bournemouth's longest-serving player Neil Young has committed himself to the League One club for another season.
The Cherries skipper had been out of contract at Dean Court but has now penned a new deal, shunning interest from rival clubs.
Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has hailed Young's decision as an important moment for the South Coast club.
"Securing team captain Neil Young's signature was the perfect end to a great week for the club following the new signing of Jo Kuffour," Mostyn told the club's official website.
"On the basis that one or two other clubs had understandably shown interest in him, the fact that he has committed himself to the club is another show of confidence in the determination of Kevin and me to bring success to Bournemouth.
"We are delighted to have Neil with us to help us achieve our goal."
Young first joined Bournemouth from Tottenham Hotspur in 1994.
