Keeper flattered by transfer talk

Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal admits it was 'flattering' to be linked with a move higher up the Football League during the January transfer window. Jalal has impressed between the posts for the Cherries this season and has kept 12 clean sheets in League Two as the club push for promotion. Blackpool were mooted as admirers of the 26-year-old last month and the keeper was happy to attract the interest of teams further up the ladder. However, Jalal is not letting talk of a transfer affect his performances and he has praised Bournemouth's goalkeeping coach Neil Moss for helping him to improve. "It was flattering," Jalal told the Daily Echo. "But you have also got to keep it in the back of your mind that it can be taken away from you just as easily as it is given to you. "Mossy is always in my ear telling me to keep my feet on the ground and to keep working hard. "I'm just enjoying playing for Bournemouth at the moment. I'm working as hard as possible because I don't want the success to go away. "I've been lucky to have two great coaches in Mossy and Vince Bartram. They both played and their goalkeeping philosophies are rubbing off on me. It can only be good."
