Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has pledged his future to the League Two club by signing a new two-year contract.
Jalal has made 84 appearances since joining the Cherries from Peterborough United in 2008 and was linked with a move higher up the Football League in January.
However, the 26-year-old is happy to stay with the promotion hopefuls and is keen to be part of manager Eddie Howe's long-term plans.
"Eddie and the club told me they wanted me to stay and I was delighted and I can't say thank you enough for the board, Neill Blake and Eddie for sitting down and sorting it all out," Jalal told the club's official website.
"I'm pleased with my form and it's great that I have been rewarded with this.
"With Eddie, though, he always strives to be better and he has told me that it's time to kick on even further.
"I'm looking forward to spending at least another couple of years at Bournemouth and progressing with the club and that we continue to get the results that we deserve."
