Bournemouth have signed goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan on a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.
The well-travelled shot-stopper, who has taken in stints with Portsmouth, Southampton, Southend and Crystal Palace, trained with the Cherries for a spell in 2010.
Flahavan is relishing the opportunity of working under manager Lee Bradbury and goalkeeping coach Neil Moss with the ambitious League One outfit.
"It's a club definitely going in the right direction and I'm sure the manager is going to keep pushing us on and achieve success again in the forthcoming season," he told the club's official website.
"I know Neil Moss really well. When I was at Southampton we were the two young keepers there and I have kept in touch with him and it will be great to work with him again."
Bradbury believes the addition of the 32-year-old will provide excellent competition to current No.1 Shwan Jalal for the new season.
He added: "It's a good catch for us because he's coming from a Championship club and I believe Darryl and Shwan will be great together and will push each other day in and day out for the number one spot.
"I played with Darryl about five years ago at Southend and we won the League One title and he proved then what a really good keeper he is, technically sound, a good shot stopper and very experienced."
