Winger Marc Pugh admits he is flattered by Bournemouth's offer of a new long-term contract at the League One outfit.

The 24-year-old is the Cherries' leading scorer this season having netted nine times in all competitions and believes the offer of a new deal is a reflection of that form. "It's very flattering that the club want to offer me a new deal and a real compliment," he told BBC Radio Solent. "The club have shown real ambition with their signings so we'll just have to see what happens." Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury is intent on keeping Pugh, insisting he has no plans to sell him. "He is the sort of player I'd like to have at the club for a long time. We wouldn't be interested in selling him," he added.
