The Northern Ireland international sustained the facial injury in their 4-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening.
"Michael Duff has a broken nose," confirmed manager Bobby Gould (pictured).
"He is up and about but there was a lot of blood with the initial injury so we are monitoring that.
"But he did not have concussion and will hopefully be available sooner rather than later."
Gould will be looking at potential new additions to his squad on Wednesday when German Christian Brutschin plays for the reserves, although he is still awaiting international clearance before signing until the end of the season.
Leyton Orient youngster Chris Wild will also be out to impress Gould as he tries to earn a deal while on trial.
