Naylor was released at the end of the season and is currently out of contract but Gould has revealed that they may be able to find a place for the 36-year-old at Whaddon Road.
But all will not be lost for the former Port Vale and Crewe man if he fails to land a new deal with The Robins, as he has admitted interest from a number of clubs.
He told The Gloucestershire Echo: "I've had a couple of approaches from non-League clubs and a few League clubs saying they might be interested.
"I'd rather stay at Cheltenham. I've enjoyed my time there and I would like to stay.
"It's not a case of me not accepting anything lower, I've just said 'make me an offer'."
