The 36-year-old has signed a short-term deal with Bucks boss Mick Jones, and will add considerable firepower to the Conference big-spenders, who have flattered to deceive in the early weeks of the season.
Naylor played in excess of 400 matches for Crewe Alexandra, Port Vale and Cheltenham Town over a 13-year professional career - scoring 182 goals.
Having been released by the Whaddon Road club at the end of last season, Naylor was tipped to sign for Dr. Martens Premier Division outfit Bath City, and verbally agreed terms with manager Alan Pridham this week.
But Telford intervened at the last minute, leaving the City boss to ponder what might have been.
"Tony phoned me and apologised. But it is a chance for him to play full-time again and something we've just got to accept," lamented Pridham.
