Steve Guinan has penned a fresh one-year deal with Cheltenham Town.
Steve Guinan has ended the uncertainty surrounding his future by penning a new one-year deal with Cheltenham Town.
The experienced striker had looked set to depart Whaddon Road with a number of clubs tracking his services, but they have all missed out.
Guinan revealed he came close to ending his two-year stay with the club but made compromises in order to extend his Robins stay.
"I came within a cat's whisker of leaving," Guinan told to Gloucestershire Echo. "I had calls from lots of managers and went to visit a couple of clubs.
"I compromised on a few things in the deal and so did the club, but I never wanted to leave. I'm glad it's sorted, it's a big weight off my shoulders."
Meanwhile, central defender Michael Taylor has been snapped up by Conference outfit Halifax Town.
The 23-year-old, who began his career with Blackburn Rovers, has penned a one-year deal with the West Yorkshire outfit.
