Cheltenham boss John Ward is keen to secure an extended contract for Craig Reid.
Cheltenham boss John Ward is keen to secure an extended contract for youngster Craig Reid as he fears his exceptional goal-scoring record at reserve level is attracting the attention of other clubs.
Reid, who joined on a free transfer in January, claimed four goals in the reserves' game against Swindon on Monday night, taking his tally at that level to nine goals in six starts.
The 19-year-old striker has been on a month-to-month deal at Whaddon Road since signing in January.
"Craig has another four weeks with us after agreeing to stay for another month, but the club need to be looking at extending that further and that is something I will be asking the club to do," said Ward.
"You can't ignore the goals he has been scoring because every time he does it, he is getting noticed elsewhere."
