Exeter boss Paul Tisdale has confirmed David Noble as skipper and Steve Tully as vice-captain.
Noble was the number two to Matt Taylor last season but following his move to Charlton, Tisdale felt it made sense to promote the second in command. "David was vice captain last year and Steve was third choice so they've just moved up one," Tisdale said. "I am comfortable with both of them but it was a simple process I suppose. David was vice captain previously so it seemed the right thing to do. "He sits in the middle of the pitch, is very competitive and the players respect the way he plays. "As a captain how you play sets the tone for the team and he is a real footballer and a playmaker and I'd like that to be part of the way my team's play."
