Goulding signs new Robins deal

Cheltenham striker Jeff Goulding has signed a new one-year contract at Whaddon Road after mulling over some interest from other clubs.

Goulding scored five goals for the club last season as they narrowly missed out on promotion to League One, losing the play-off final at Wembley to Crewe. He insisted his intention was always to stay at the club, despite potential interest from other sides. "I spoke to a few other clubs but to be honest I was always going to stick with Cheltenham Town," Goulding told the club's official website. "It's now up to us to build upon what was a very good season and have another."
