Howarth joy as Robins march on

Assistant manager Neil Howarth was delighted to celebrate Mark Yates' fourth anniversary at Cheltenham with a 2-0 win at Fleetwood.

Troy Brown put Town ahead within the opening minute before Jermaine McGlashan added a second in the closing moments, with victory extending the Robins' unbeaten run to 10 league games. "To score a goal after 30 seconds and score another with about 30 seconds remaining. We've pretty much dominated over 90 minutes," Howarth said. "It's a tough place to come, Fleetwood are a good side with a lot of quality. To beat them and beat them comfortably the lads can take a lot of credit. "We're 10 unbeaten in the league. It's great going into the matches over the festive period. You just want them to keep coming." Brown headed home from a Matt Richards corner to give Cheltenham the lead. Fleetwood took time to find their feet but almost hit back before the break, Daniel Carr's header saved by Scott Brown. After the break the home side pressed the visitors, Carr again coming close, with a superb save from Brown denying the on-loan striker on his full debut. Veteran Jon Parkin's spectacular blast almost levelled the scores but Fleetwood could not find a way through and were caught out in the last minute of added time. Byron Harrison broke quickly down the left, picking out the run of McGlashan, who got beyond Ryan Cresswell and rounded Scott Davies to compound the home side's misery.
