The 34-year-old joins The Bantams after New Zealand international Paston went down with a dead leg in the home defeat to Sunderland earlier this month, while Combe damaged a rib in Saturday's win over Preston North End.
The former Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough and York City custodian has been on the lookout for a new club since his release from The Clarets last May.
He looked set to return to Bootham Crescent in the summer but Beresford failed a medical, which ended The Minstermen's interest in him.
The keeper was linked with a move to Division One side Rotherham United but with Law in need of custodial cover, Beresford has answered the call by coming to Valley Parade for at least four weeks.
The Bantams boss may also choose to recall young keeper Clint Davies from his long-term loan spell at Conference club Halifax Town for added cover.
